Welcome

The Lodge was established in 2002 and was formed with the primary objective of being a friendly and welcoming place that made Freemasonry more easily available to those who may find that membership of the order competes with their work and family commitments.

 This aim was to be achieved by :

 Starting our meetings at 7.00pm rather than the traditional 6.00pm which can be difficult for those in full-time employment
        
Meeting every other month (the norm is a meeting every month) to minimise any conflict with other commitments

Keeping the formal proceedings of our meetings as simple and straightforward as possible

Enjoying a 2-Course meal (the norm in Masonic Lodges is 3 or even 4) with an emphasis on conversation and being sociable.
The evening ends by 10.00pm or as soon as possible thereafter.
     
Implementing Education and Mentoring programmes and encouraging participation in Lodge activities from
the very beginning of being a member

Giving every member a voice in the running of the Lodge in a Lodge Forum, rather than operating the traditional Lodge
Committee of usually long-standing members.

The traditions and values of Freemasonry are fully maintained but our purpose above all is to make being a Freemason enjoyable and worthwhile.

A further aim of the Lodge is to play a part in charitable and community activities within the Tewkesbury area.

In the years since its foundation the Lodge has maintained all of its original objectives and continues to grow and maintain its
reputation for welcoming new members and visitors.
